Datto RMM pricing in 2026: what is reported, and what the paper says

By the Helios team · Last checked 9 September 2026

Datto RMM publishes no price list, so every number here is reported rather than stated by the vendor. The figure that matters most is not the per-endpoint rate anyway. It is the term you sign, and a billing model that changed in mid-2026 in a way that helps anyone whose fleet goes up and down.

Written with respect. We ran an MSP on several of the products we compare, we rate them, and without them Helios would not exist. These pages are here because buyers deserve the numbers, not because we want a fight.

The short answer

  • No published price list. Every quote goes through Kaseya sales (Not published, checked 9 September 2026).
  • Reported around $2.99 per endpoint per month as a base rate, with $2.50 to $4.50 the range once volume and term are applied (Reported).
  • Three tiers are described by resellers as Essentials, Premium and Ultimate. The feature split between them is not published.
  • Month-to-month, one-year and three-year terms exist. Kaseya paper commonly defaults to three years with an auto-renewal window that is easy to miss (Reported).
  • Mid-2026 Datto moved off high-watermark billing to a committed minimum plus consumption above it (Reported). Under the old model you paid for the peak device count in a period even after removing the devices.
  • Quotes reportedly drop sharply when Autotask PSA, IT Glue and Datto BDR are taken together, so a standalone RMM price is the worst case.
How this page is put together. Numbers marked List were read from the vendor's own published pages on 9 September 2026. Numbers marked Reported come from third-party buyer data or public user reports, each linked, and should be treated as indicative rather than quoted rates. Where nothing public exists we say so. GBP figures use £0.733 per $1 (GBP/USD 1.3643, Bank of England reference rate, 21 August 2026). No vendor paid for placement and there are no affiliate links.

What Datto itself publishes

Nothing. There is no price list, no anchor range and no self-serve checkout, which is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight: Datto RMM is sold through Kaseya's sales organisation and priced per deal.

The billing change is the good news, and it is real

Datto RMM used to bill on a high-watermark basis: your invoice followed the peak device count in the period, so offboarding a client did not reduce the bill until the next reset. Reporting through 2026 says that moved to a committed minimum with consumption billed above it. If your fleet is seasonal, or you have lost a client and kept paying for their machines, that is a material improvement and it is worth asking a rep to confirm in writing which model your paper is on, because an existing contract does not necessarily move by itself.

The number to negotiate is the term, not the rate

Per-endpoint rates in this market are within pennies of each other once volume is applied. What differs is what happens when you want to leave. A three-year auto-renewing agreement with a narrow notice window is the single most complained about thing about buying from this vendor group, and it is also the most negotiable: ask for a one-year term, ask for the notice period in writing, and diarise the notice date the day you sign rather than the month you want to go.

Bundling changes the maths

Datto RMM sits in a suite with Autotask PSA, IT Glue and Datto BDR. Resellers consistently report that quotes fall when several are taken together. If you are genuinely consolidating that is a real saving. If you are buying products you did not want in order to make the one you did want affordable, it is not, and the exit gets harder with every product you add to the paper.

What we could not verify

Where Helios fits

Helios publishes every price: a £4/device Launch tier for 5 to 25 devices, then flat per-MSP plans at £99, £199 and £399 a month by fleet size (50 / 250 / unlimited). Every feature on every plan, monthly billing, cancel any time, and the calculator on the pricing page does the comparison for your exact fleet. We built this page because we think published pricing should be the norm in this market, ours included.

The parts that rarely make a feature grid

Comparisons and price lists tend to stop at monitoring, patching and tickets. Helios has kept shipping, every feature lands on every plan, and this is the part that usually gets left out:

Common questions

How much does Datto RMM cost in 2026?

There is no published price. Third-party reporting puts the base rate at around $2.99 per endpoint per month, with $2.50 to $4.50 the range once volume and contract length are applied (Reported, checked 9 September 2026).

Does Datto RMM publish its pricing?

No. Every quote goes through Kaseya sales and is priced per deal, which is why every figure on this page is labelled Reported rather than List.

Is Datto RMM a three-year contract?

Month-to-month, one-year and three-year terms all exist, but three years with auto-renewal is commonly described as the default on Kaseya paper. Ask for the term and the notice period in writing, and diarise the notice date the day you sign.

Did Datto RMM stop high-watermark billing?

Reporting through 2026 says it moved to a committed minimum plus consumption above it, so removing devices should reduce the bill rather than leaving you on the peak count. Ask a rep to confirm which model your own contract is on, as an existing agreement may not move by itself.

How does Datto RMM compare with Helios?

This page is the price teardown and stays out of that argument. The honest side by side, including where Datto RMM is the better pick, is on Helios vs Datto RMM.
