Datto RMM pricing in 2026: what is reported, and what the paper says

Datto RMM publishes no price list, so every number here is reported rather than stated by the vendor. The figure that matters most is not the per-endpoint rate anyway. It is the term you sign, and a billing model that changed in mid-2026 in a way that helps anyone whose fleet goes up and down.

What Datto itself publishes

Nothing. There is no price list, no anchor range and no self-serve checkout, which is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight: Datto RMM is sold through Kaseya's sales organisation and priced per deal.

The billing change is the good news, and it is real

Datto RMM used to bill on a high-watermark basis: your invoice followed the peak device count in the period, so offboarding a client did not reduce the bill until the next reset. Reporting through 2026 says that moved to a committed minimum with consumption billed above it. If your fleet is seasonal, or you have lost a client and kept paying for their machines, that is a material improvement and it is worth asking a rep to confirm in writing which model your paper is on, because an existing contract does not necessarily move by itself.

The number to negotiate is the term, not the rate

Per-endpoint rates in this market are within pennies of each other once volume is applied. What differs is what happens when you want to leave. A three-year auto-renewing agreement with a narrow notice window is the single most complained about thing about buying from this vendor group, and it is also the most negotiable: ask for a one-year term, ask for the notice period in writing, and diarise the notice date the day you sign rather than the month you want to go.

Bundling changes the maths

Datto RMM sits in a suite with Autotask PSA, IT Glue and Datto BDR. Resellers consistently report that quotes fall when several are taken together. If you are genuinely consolidating that is a real saving. If you are buying products you did not want in order to make the one you did want affordable, it is not, and the exit gets harder with every product you add to the paper.

What we could not verify

• Any vendor-published figure at all. Every price on this page is third-party reported, and we have labelled all of them accordingly.
• What separates Essentials, Premium and Ultimate. Reseller pages name the tiers but not the feature split.
• Whether servers and network devices bill at the same per-endpoint rate as workstations.
• Whether existing high-watermark contracts were migrated to the committed-minimum model automatically or only at renewal.
• The size of the bundle discount. It is consistently described as significant and never quantified.

The parts that rarely make a feature grid

Comparisons and price lists tend to stop at monitoring, patching and tickets. Helios has kept shipping, every feature lands on every plan, and this is the part that usually gets left out:

• Client billing that closes the loop. Recurring contracts (flat, per-device or per-seat), an included-hours retainer that nets against logged time, and the finished invoice pushed into Xero or QuickBooks or exported as CSV.
• The kit that will never take an agent. Nominate a machine already running the agent as a site relay and act on the switches, firewalls, NAS boxes and printers around it over SSH. A target only appears if that relay is what discovered it, every command waits for a human, and the password is fetched at the moment it runs and written to the audit trail.
• Network discovery that names things. Agents map each client's network and identify what they find by vendor and type, so new hardware on a client site is flagged the day it appears.
• Replacement dates without a spreadsheet. Machines report their own age from the BIOS date, so Helios can tell you what is due for replacement against a service-life policy you set, per client.
• Reporting built for the review, not the dashboard. A custom report builder, SLA reporting, Microsoft 365 licence-cost reporting, and a day-one baseline per client that stores the numbers, so a quarterly review can prove what actually moved.
• Everything is addressable. A published REST API, a credential vault with an audit trail, custom fields on clients and devices, and standing rules that limit what Helio may do on its own: block an action or require a human to approve it, scoped to one client, a device group, a device type or a single machine, and to a class of action or one named fix.

Common questions

How much does Datto RMM cost in 2026?

There is no published price. Third-party reporting puts the base rate at around $2.99 per endpoint per month, with $2.50 to $4.50 the range once volume and contract length are applied (Reported, checked 9 September 2026).

Does Datto RMM publish its pricing?

No. Every quote goes through Kaseya sales and is priced per deal, which is why every figure on this page is labelled Reported rather than List.

Is Datto RMM a three-year contract?

Month-to-month, one-year and three-year terms all exist, but three years with auto-renewal is commonly described as the default on Kaseya paper. Ask for the term and the notice period in writing, and diarise the notice date the day you sign.
