MSP software price increases in 2026: the tracker
In 2026 Atera repriced its whole rate card, Datto RMM changed how it bills, and the renewal terms from Kaseya and N-able let prices rise by up to 5% plus inflation every renewal, while HaloPSA cut its UK price. This tracker records each change with its date and a link to the vendor's own page or agreement, so you can see what your next renewal can do before it arrives.
Written with respect. We ran an MSP on several of the products we compare, we rate them, and without them Helios would not exist. These pages are here because buyers deserve the numbers, not because we want a fight.
The short answer
- Atera repriced in June 2026: Pro $129, Growth $159, Power $209 per technician a month billed annually. The AI Copilot became free; Robin, its autonomous agent, is billed separately with no published price.
- Datto RMM changed how it bills in mid-2026: from paying for your peak device count to a committed minimum plus usage above it (Reported).
- Kaseya and N-able renewals can rise by up to 5% plus inflation every time, under their own agreements. N-able adds the value of new features and ratchets your device commitment up.
- NinjaOne renewals are reported to rise 2.75% to 5% a year, with no published schedule.
- HaloPSA cut its UK price from £69 to £66 per agent a month in September 2026.
Price changes in 2026
| When | Vendor | What changed | Status |

| 1 June 2026 | Atera | New rate card for monthly and new business: Pro $139, Growth $189, Power $249 per technician a month on monthly billing. AI Copilot, previously $29 to $95 per technician a month, included free. | Reported |
| 28 July 2026 | Atera | Annual plans move to Pro $129, Growth $159, Power $209. Legacy annual customers renewing before this date kept their old price into 2027. | Reported |
| 2026 | Atera | Robin, the autonomous AI agent, sold as a separate add-on per end user, annual contract only, with quarterly true-ups and no published price. | Reported |
| Mid-2026 | Datto RMM | Moved off high-watermark billing, where you paid for your peak device count, to a committed minimum plus consumption above it. | Reported |
| September 2026 | HaloPSA | UK list price down from £69 to £66 per agent a month, billed annually. A cut, not a rise. | List |
Renewal clauses that let the price rise
A published rate is only half the story. What your bill can do at renewal is written into each vendor's agreement, and most MSPs first read it when the renewal invoice arrives.
| Vendor | What the paper says | Notice to leave |
|---|---|---|
| Kaseya (VSA, Kaseya 365, Datto) | Automatic renewals priced at the previous term "plus an increase not to exceed five percent (5%) plus any increase in the Consumer Price Index". Renews for the same length at your last licence count. On month-to-month, Kaseya "may increase pricing at any time" on 30 days' notice. | 30 days before the term ends |
| N-able (N-central, N-sight) | Up to 5% plus CPI, plus "the incremental value of additional features and functionality that have been added". Your device commitment becomes the old commitment plus 80% of usage above it. | 30 days, through N-able's portal |
| ConnectWise | Subscriptions auto-renew. No published price list for Manage or Automate, so the renewal price is whatever is quoted. | 60 days, as an electronically signed notice, not an email |
| NinjaOne | No published renewal schedule. Buyers report uplifts of 2.75% to 5% a year, and three-year terms are common. | Reported as 60 days |
| IT Glue | Published prices assume a 36-month term, with a five-user minimum and a one-time onboarding fee. | Check your order form |
What 5% plus inflation does over three renewals
Take a tooling bill of $1,000 a month. With inflation at 3%, the maximum Kaseya or N-able increase is 8% a renewal. After three renewals that bill can reach $1,260 a month, for the same devices and the same features. N-able's clause also allows for the value of features added, so its ceiling can be higher still.
Before your next renewal
- Diarise the notice date, not the renewal date. Kaseya and N-able need 30 days, ConnectWise 60, and missing it renews the whole term.
- Ask for the renewal price in writing before the notice window opens, so you still have the option to leave.
- Check your committed count. Under a ratchet or a committed minimum, losing a client does not lower the bill.
- Price the alternative now, while you still have months, not days. The RMM cost calculator prices eleven products side by side.
Why we built Helios
We ran an MSP on the platforms on these pages. The price moved at every renewal, and the features we needed kept turning up one tier higher. So we built our own.
Helios has one published price list: a £4/device Launch tier for 5 to 25 devices, then flat per-MSP plans at £99, £199 and £399 a month by fleet size (50 / 250 / unlimited). Every feature is on every plan, with nothing held back for a higher tier. Your price is locked for as long as you stay subscribed, and it is in our terms. Pay monthly and cancel any time, or yearly for 20% off. The calculator on the pricing page does the comparison for your exact fleet.
The parts that rarely make a feature grid
Comparisons and price lists tend to stop at monitoring, patching and tickets. Helios has kept shipping, every feature lands on every plan, and this is the part that usually gets left out:
- Client billing that closes the loop. Recurring contracts (flat, per-device or per-seat), an included-hours retainer that nets against logged time, and the finished invoice pushed into Xero or QuickBooks or exported as CSV.
- The kit that will never take an agent. Nominate a machine already running the agent as a site relay and act on the switches, firewalls, NAS boxes and printers around it over SSH. A target only appears if that relay is what discovered it, every command waits for a human, and the password is fetched at the moment it runs and written to the audit trail.
- Network discovery that names things. Agents map each client's network and identify what they find by vendor and type, so new hardware on a client site is flagged the day it appears.
- Replacement dates without a spreadsheet. Machines report their own age from the BIOS date, so Helios can tell you what is due for replacement against a service-life policy you set, per client.
- Reporting built for the review, not the dashboard. A custom report builder, SLA reporting, Microsoft 365 licence-cost reporting, and a day-one baseline per client that stores the numbers, so a quarterly review can prove what actually moved.
- Everything is addressable. A published REST API, a credential vault with an audit trail, custom fields on clients and devices, and standing rules that limit what Helio may do on its own: block an action or require a human to approve it, scoped to one client, a device group, a device type or a single machine, and to a class of action or one named fix.
