ConnectWise Manage pricing: what the PSA really costs per technician, and the contract that comes with it

Insights By the Helios team · 2 November 2026 · 6 min read

ConnectWise Manage, now sold as ConnectWise PSA, has no public price list, but reported 2026 rates put it at roughly $85 to $145 per user per month, depending on how many technicians you license, the modules you add and how long you sign for. Larger shops committing to multi-year terms report lower rates. Here is what those figures are based on, what they leave out, and the contract terms that matter more than the headline number.

Why there is no official ConnectWise Manage price

First, the name. ConnectWise Manage was rebranded as ConnectWise PSA, and it runs ticketing, billing, projects and reporting for mid-sized and larger MSPs, according to Flamingo - ConnectWise PSA Review for MSPs (2026). Buyers still search for the old name, and older contracts still carry it, so this piece uses both.

Second, the price itself. ConnectWise uses a quote-based model where prices are customised based on business size, technician count, selected modules and contract terms, rather than publishing list prices, as Rallied - ConnectWise PSA pricing in 2026 sets out. Any page quoting a single, precise, "verified" figure is guessing. It is a guess wearing a spreadsheet's clothes.

What you can rely on is reported data: transaction records from buyers' agents and what MSPs say they pay. Treat every figure below as reported, not official, and as of 2026.

Reported ConnectWise PSA cost per technician in 2026

The best-sourced numbers come from two places.

Team sizeReported rate per user per monthBasis
5 to 15 techniciansRoughly $85 to $110Community reports from r/msp and Capterra reviews
10 to 25 full users$95 to $145, annual contractsVendr transaction data
50+ usersOften $75 to $110Vendr transaction data, volume and multi-year

The transaction figures are from Vendr - ConnectWise Software Pricing & Plans 2026, and the community figures from Flamingo - ConnectWise Alternatives for MSPs in 2026. The ranges overlap, which is reassuring: they describe the same market from different angles.

Two things follow. The per-user rate falls as you grow, so a small MSP pays the most per head. And the lower rates are usually bought with longer commitments, which is a trade, not a discount.

Worked example: an eight-technician MSP at $100 per user per month pays $800 a month, or $9,600 a year, for the PSA licence alone. At $85 that is $8,160; at $110 it is $10,560. Run your own headcount through the same sum before any sales call.

What the per-user fee does not include

The PSA licence is one line on what tends to become several invoices. ConnectWise sells its products separately, and each is licensed and billed on its own terms.

Skip this and you compare a PSA-only quote against an all-in-one platform and conclude the wrong thing. If you want to put the whole stack on one footing, our guide to MSP tooling cost per endpoint shows the arithmetic.

First-year cost: the licence is the smaller part of the surprise

The first year of a ConnectWise deployment costs more than the licence. Flamingo's research puts first-year total cost of ownership, including implementation, training and integrations, at 40 to 80 per cent above the base licensing figure.

Apply that to the eight-technician example. A $9,600 licence year becomes roughly $13,440 to $17,280 once onboarding is in. That uplift is largely one-off, but it lands in the year you are also running your old tool in parallel and losing technician hours to the move.

The first-year test: multiply your quoted annual licence by 1.4 and by 1.8. If the higher number does not fit the budget, the deal does not fit, whatever the per-user rate.

Contract terms: where ConnectWise Manage pricing is really decided

ConnectWise contracts default to multi-year terms, Flamingo reports. That changes how you read every number above, because a cheap per-user rate locked for three years is not cheap if your headcount shrinks or the product stops suiting you in year two.

Before signing, check these in writing:

  1. Term length and auto-renewal. Know the end date and whether the agreement renews itself. Our guide to cancelling a ConnectWise contract covers notice periods in detail.
  2. Seat flexibility. Can you reduce licences mid-term, or only add them? Most per-user contracts ratchet one way.
  3. Price protection at renewal. A first-term discount with no cap on renewal increases is a rule wearing a safety costume.
  4. Module bundling. If RMM and remote access are on the same agreement, find out whether you can drop one without renegotiating the rest.

Is ConnectWise PSA worth it for a small MSP?

For larger MSPs that need deep project accounting and a broad integration catalogue, the cost can be justified. For a shop of five or so technicians, the economics are harder: you pay the highest per-user rate, absorb the same implementation effort, and commit for years. Our comparison of HaloPSA vs ConnectWise Manage works through that trade-off for a growing MSP.

Where this fits with Helios

Helios takes the opposite approach: monitoring, patching, remote access, the helpdesk, time tracking and billing into Xero or QuickBooks are one product, priced by fleet size rather than per technician, with every feature on every plan. The published price is £3 a device a month for 5 to 25 devices, from £15 a month, with no charge per technician. It will not suit every MSP that needs ConnectWise's depth, and the side-by-side on our Helios vs ConnectWise comparison says where.

Common questions about ConnectWise Manage pricing

Does ConnectWise publish a price for ConnectWise Manage?

No. ConnectWise Manage, now ConnectWise PSA, is sold on a quote-based model, with prices set by business size, technician count, chosen modules and contract terms. The only figures available are reported ones, such as Vendr transaction data and community reports, which in 2026 place most deals between roughly $75 and $145 per user per month.

Is ConnectWise PSA charged per technician or per device?

ConnectWise PSA is charged per user, which in practice means per technician or staff member who needs a licence. Device-based charges come from the separate RMM product, and ScreenConnect remote access is priced per concurrent technician. Each product is licensed separately, so a full ConnectWise stack usually means several pricing bases on one bill.

Can you get ConnectWise PSA on a monthly contract?

ConnectWise contracts default to multi-year terms, and the lower reported rates are tied to longer commitments. Shorter terms may be possible to negotiate, but expect a higher per-user rate in exchange. Get the term, renewal mechanism and any seat-reduction rights written into the agreement before you sign.
