IT Glue vs Hudu
IT Glue and Hudu are the two documentation platforms most MSPs choose between. Both publish prices, which makes this an unusually clean comparison: the difference is less the rate than the contract around it.

The short answer
- IT Glue: $29, $38 or $44 per user per month, five-user minimum, on a 36-month term with a one-time onboarding fee.
- Hudu: $27 per user per month on annual billing, no minimum and no contract, cloud or self-hosted.
- Five users: IT Glue Basic $145 a month, Hudu $135. Ten users: $290 against $270.
- IT Glue's higher plans add integrations and two-way PSA sync; its add-ons (Network Glue, MyGlue) cost $400 to $450 a month each.
- The real difference is commitment: three years with IT Glue, cancel any time with Hudu.

Which suits whom
- IT Glue suits an MSP already inside the Kaseya stack, or one that needs two-way PSA sync and deep integrations, and is comfortable committing for three years.
- Hudu suits an MSP that wants a published price with no lock-in, a small team below five, or the option to self-host.
Do you need a separate tool at all?
For a small MSP, maybe not yet. Helios includes per-client documentation and a credential vault alongside the RMM and service desk, so client notes and passwords live next to the machines and tickets they belong to. It is not a replacement for the depth of IT Glue or Hudu, such as runbook libraries and dozens of integrations, but it covers the start. Can I self-host IT Glue or Hudu?
Hudu can be cloud-hosted or self-hosted. IT Glue is cloud-hosted.
What is the minimum for IT Glue?
Five users on Basic, Select and Enterprise. Enterprise is also available to one to four users at $49 to $102 per user.
Does Helios replace IT Glue or Hudu?
Not fully. Helios includes per-client documentation and a credential vault, which covers a small MSP's basics, but not the depth of a dedicated documentation platform.
