Atera vs SuperOps

By the Helios team · Last checked 28 September 2026

Atera and SuperOps look alike on paper: PSA and RMM together, priced per technician, with AI on top. The differences are in how they count endpoints, what the AI costs, and how much is published. Here is the side-by-side.

Written with respect. We ran an MSP on several of the products we compare, we rate them, and without them Helios would not exist. These pages are here because buyers deserve the facts, not because we want a fight.

The short answer

  • Both charge per technician. Atera's MSP plans are reported at $129, $159 and $209 a technician a month on annual billing; SuperOps at $79 (PSA only), $99 (RMM only), $129 (both) and $159 to $179.
  • Endpoints are the real difference. Atera includes unlimited endpoints per technician. SuperOps licences are reported to cover 150 endpoints each, with extra packs above that and no published price for them.
  • SuperOps sells PSA and RMM separately, so a team that only needs one pays less. Atera sells them together.
  • Atera made its AI Copilot free on every plan in June 2026. Its autonomous agent, Robin, is priced per end user on an annual contract, with no published rate.
  • Neither publishes its MSP prices in full on its own site today; every MSP figure here is reported, and dated on our pricing pages.

Which costs less

It depends almost entirely on endpoints per technician. Below about 150, the two are close: three technicians on Atera Pro or SuperOps Pro are both about $387 a month on annual billing. Above 150 endpoints per technician, Atera's unlimited endpoints start to win, because SuperOps needs extra packs whose price it does not publish.

If you only need one half, SuperOps is cheaper: its standalone PSA at $79 or RMM at $99 undercuts any Atera plan. Atera's per-device add-ons, such as antivirus and network monitoring, go the other way and raise its bill as the fleet grows.

Which suits whom

The third option: priced by fleet, not by people

Both products charge more every time you hire. Helios charges by fleet size instead: $5 a device on Launch up to 25 devices, then $129, $249 or $499 a month for 50, 250 or unlimited devices, with any number of technicians. Every plan includes the service desk with SLAs, patching including third-party apps, remote access, Microsoft 365 and Defender checks, backup monitoring, a client portal, billing into Xero or QuickBooks, and Helio, the AI technician that investigates problems, writes the fix and runs it. The price is locked for as long as you stay subscribed.

Common questions

Is Atera cheaper than SuperOps?

For PSA and RMM together, their entry prices are close at about $129 a technician a month on annual billing. Atera includes unlimited endpoints, so it is cheaper for large fleets; SuperOps sells PSA or RMM alone from $79 or $99, so it is cheaper if you need only one.

How many endpoints does a SuperOps licence include?

SuperOps MSP licences are reported to cover 150 endpoints per technician, with extra endpoint packs above that. SuperOps does not publish the pack price.

Does Atera charge per device?

No. Atera charges per technician with unlimited endpoints. Some add-ons, such as antivirus and network monitoring, are priced per device.

How much does Atera's Robin AI agent cost?

Atera has not published a price. Robin is reported to be billed per end user per month on an annual contract, with quarterly true-ups, and it is excluded from the trial.

Is there an alternative to Atera and SuperOps that is not priced per technician?

Yes. Helios is priced by fleet size with any number of technicians: $5 a device on Launch, or $129 a month for up to 50 devices.
